Teaching comes from a place of passion. The best teachers are those who create engaging, deep, critical spaces of learning for any student. The classroom should be a safe space, with discovery at the heart of education. 

I believe every student deserves the opportunity to gain language, literacy, and confidence in learning. 
Life-Long Learning
The front of a classroom is as much a space of learning as it is teaching.

Through my teaching experience, I have found myself constantly also in the role of the student. I am able to learn from my students as we exchange ideas, culture, and language. Whether I am teaching first language English users or English as a foreign language, I know that every classroom is an opportunity for me to learn and grow.

Teaching Experience
I have worked with adults and 2 year-olds, and every age in between. I have been an educator since high school, when I first taught an after-school creative writing program to grade schoolers. Throughout my career, I have found an educational outlet everywhere from daycare assistant to summer camp counselor to substitute high school choir director.

Each space had its own unique rewards and challenges. And each experience gave me something to carry forward, into the next chapter of my carreer.
